{"id":1895,"date":"2026-03-26T12:54:02","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T12:54:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tsfactory.com\/forums\/?p=1895"},"modified":"2026-03-26T12:54:02","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T12:54:02","slug":"former-nsa-chiefs-weve-all-become-numb-to-cybersecurity-threats","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tsfactory.com\/forums\/blog\/former-nsa-chiefs-weve-all-become-numb-to-cybersecurity-threats\/","title":{"rendered":"Former NSA Chiefs: We&#8217;ve All Become &#8216;Numb&#8217; To Cybersecurity Threats"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019re feeling numb to the endless cycle of data breaches and hacks, you aren\u2019t alone.<\/p>\n<p>At the RSAC 2026 Conference in San Francisco, four former directors for the US\u2019s National Security Agency gave their view on today\u2019s cyberthreats, including whether the American public \u201ceven cares about cyber anymore?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I think we\u2019ve become numb to it,\u201d said Paul Nakasone, the former NSA director who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsa.gov\/History\/Former-NSA-CSS-Leaders\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served<\/a>\u00a0from 2018 to 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we continue to see these different intrusions and the intrusions have gotten to a size that the scale is just too incredible to me. And I think that we are out of balance in terms of being able to keep up with the adversary,\u201d he later added.<\/p>\n<p>His predecessor, former NSA director Mike Rogers, shared a similar view. \u201cI think for society, we are just becoming so numb to this.
