{"id":1469,"date":"2024-11-28T12:40:37","date_gmt":"2024-11-28T12:40:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tsfactory.com\/forums\/?p=1469"},"modified":"2024-11-28T12:40:37","modified_gmt":"2024-11-28T12:40:37","slug":"ransomware-hits-supply-chain-software-firm-blue-yonder-ahead-of-thanksgiving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tsfactory.com\/forums\/blog\/ransomware-hits-supply-chain-software-firm-blue-yonder-ahead-of-thanksgiving\/","title":{"rendered":"Ransomware hits supply chain software firm Blue Yonder ahead of Thanksgiving"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Supply chain management software provider Blue Yonder,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blueyonder.com\/customer-update\">said its managed services hosted environment was disrupted<\/a>\u00a0Thursday by a ransomware attack.<\/p>\n<p>A 2021 acquisition of Panasonic, the Arizona-based company works with some of the world\u2019s leading grocers, retailers and logistics firms to help them manage their supply chains.<\/p>\n<p>Blue Yonder is working with external cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident and has implemented defensive and forensic protocols to limit the damage and help determine the extent of the impact.\u00a0Blue Yonder officials do not have an estimated restoration time.<\/p>\n<p>The company is actively monitoring the Blue Yonder Azure public cloud environment, but has seen no suspicious activity.<\/p>\n<p>Morrisons, a U.K.-based grocery chain, said the Blue Yonder incident impacted its warehouse management system for fresh food and produce, according to a spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are currently operating satisfactorily on our back up systems and we\u2019re working very hard to deliver for our customers across the country,\u201d the spokesperson said via email.<\/p>\n<p>There is no known claim of responsibility for the attack and there were no details provided about what type of information was accessed during the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Blue Yonder has notified relevant customers and is providing regular updates on the investigation, according to the spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>The incident comes just days before the Thanksgiving Day weekend, which is a major holiday in the U.S. and a critical period for grocers and retailers.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cybersecuritydive.com\/news\/grocery-ahold-delhaize-cyberattack\/732562\/\">U.S. operations of Ahold Delhaize<\/a>\u00a0was impacted by a cyberattack, however it is not clear whether that incident involved ransomware.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cybersecuritydive.com\/news\/ransomware-supply-chain-blue-yonder-thanksgiving\/733888\/\">Read the Full Story Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Source: Cybersecurity Dive<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Supply chain management software provider Blue Yonder,\u00a0said its managed services hosted environment was disrupted\u00a0Thursday by a ransomware attack.
